My name is Jennifer ELOUNDOU. I was born and grew up in Cameroon until the age of 16, when I obtained a high school diploma in Letters and Humanities, with German as foreign language.
My childhood dream was always to become a doctor, as I grew up with a father who worked in the medical field. I was immersed in this environment from an early age. Later on, my interests changed completely and I began to take an interest in politics and languages. As my mother is a social worker, she gradually introduced me to the social world and it was from there that I developed my passion for gender equality and education.
After obtaining my high school diploma, I immigrated to Morocco for my university studies. I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Law with a minor in Public International Law at Hassan II University in Casablanca. I then obtained a Master’s Degree in Global Affairs from the Faculty of Governance , Economics and Social Sciences at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Political Science with a specialization in International Cooperation and NGOs at Sorbonne Paris North University. I have also taken part in a number of training courses , certifications and summer schools with the aim of enriching my career and learning more about the issues I am passionate about.
I have emerged as a leader since I was at secondary school. So when I arrived in Morocco, I continued this mission within the foreign students’ association. Later, I was personally invited to join the delegation of young leaders who took part in the Dialogue of Two Shores, an initiative launched by President Macron. I was also appointed ISPI G20 Global Ambassador and actively participated in the youth discussions at the Global Policy Forum in Milan and the Mediterranean Dialogues in Rome. We presented the final declaration to a panel of experts. My journey with ISPI concluded with the 3rd place award in recognition of the realization of the outstanding and innovative awareness video-campaign. I was also the winner of the Most Critical Mind Award during the Women4Leadership Program organized by Politics4Her and WomenDeliver.
I have been selected by the Word Food Forum ( WFF) to serve on the Youth Policy Board. Currently, I serve as the Program Director at Politics4Her, a feminist youth-led movement dedicated to advocating for gender equality and the inclusive participation of women and girls in politics. Last year, I I co-founded Akuma, an organization dedicated to advancing education in Africa through books.
From my role as President of the School’s General Assembly of Students to the World Food Forum to serving on Youth Policy Board, a long road has been traveled with passion and determination despite life’s ups and downs and unforeseen situations.
With this experience, I firmly believe that my voice counts and that my journey, which is still ongoing, can inspire others. As my dream is becoming more and more a reality, I’m open to any collaboration and ready to support other young people.
